Yesturday as most of you know was my ordination service. Steve likened it to being set apart as one of the musketeers. They were chosen to serve the king in a particular way. Being ordaned is being chosen to serve God in a particular way.
Also last night at Axis we looked at Elijah and part of what we said about him, was that although he had been set apart by God - he did not assume that God would act in any other way, than the way God himself would act.
The reality is that although some people look to at ministers and think they are the ones call - ALL of us are called by Christ to serve him.
"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness and into his wonderful light." 1 Peter 2v9
This week think carefully about what it means to be set apart to serve God - and consider how you can be humble as you do.
